GARDEN RENOVATION - COGDON PARK IN DELAVAN WISCONSIN
In anticipation of Earth Day, KLM along with other members of the SEWLCA renovated the gardens at
Congdon Park for this year’s PLANET DAY of SERVICE. The event took place on April 2nd at Congdon Park
in Delavan, Wisconsin. Together with Friends of the Garden we edged the planting beds in the gazebo
& fountain gardens. Also we removed the overcrowding among the shrubs, perennials & ornamental
grasses. We then divided the perennials in many of the beds. Also we did weeding & pruning of the
ornamental trees & Shrubs. With so many other activities scheduled for Earth Day, we chose this day in
advance of the PLANET DAY of SERVICE so that the Park can be utilized on the day of celebration.

"EverGreen Zone" INITIATIVE TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF GREEN SPACES
On Saturday, November 7th, 2009 Kruger Landscape part of the Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association (WLCA) joined with the national group, Project Evergreen, to raise awareness about our green spaces. Kruger Landscape chose 3 ball fields in the Walworth County area to makeover.
Kruger Landscape selected the soccer field at Faith Christian School in Williams Bay, and Harris Field & Sunset East in Elkhorn. Kruger Landscape collaborated with other landscape firms to select ball fields to which they have a personal or community connection. The goal of the project is to demonstrate how important green spaces, such as well managed lawns and landscapes, gardens, parks, sports fields and golf courses are to the environment, the economy, and the overall quality of life.
